Hamburger Steak
Frozen Beef Patties
Montreal Steak Seasoning
Sauté Onions
Heat a large iron skillet to high heat, and cook beef patties until cooked completely through. This should take 10-15 min depending on the thickness of the patties. Turn over when half way done, and season to taste.

Sauté onions are so easy, in the same skillet you cook the hamburger steaks, slice a small white or yellow onion, add 1 tablespoon of butter. Cook on medium high heat until they start to crystallize, adding olive oil if more liquid is needed. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Ike’s Greens
My 5-year-old brother loves to help me make this dish, know you will enjoy it too! 🙂

1 pkg. Beef Bacon (we have ours processed at Clint and Sons in White Deer Texas)
½ onion chopped
2 T. oil
2 T. brown sugar
1 pkg. mixed turnip and mustard greens
1 can chicken broth
2 tsp. dried garlic pieces
8 oz of water

Cook until onions are tender, and bacon crispy in a large soup pot.

When ready add rest of ingredients and cook on high for 20 min, or until greens are tender. You will be surprised how tasty these are, my family loves them, and there are never leftovers and I have 4 brothers all under 20, so try them! The brown sugar makes them slightly sweet and the beef bacon gives such a distinct and one of a kind flavor. They are go great with any beef dish, hamburger steak and roast are the best!

Serve with fresh veggies and ranch dip for a light and fun side dish for this quick, easy and filling meal for the whole family!

Don’t melt in the June heat – summer time has made it to the panhandle – praise the Lord for cool nights!

Keep your head up, enjoy your family and call your grandparents whenever you can, you never know how long you have with them!
