I am the daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter of ranchers.  I grew up in the north-eastern half of California, on the ranch my family purchased when coming to America from Switzerland in 1903.  I love every aspect of ranch life!  The early mornings, and the late evenings, family dinners, traditional Italian food, Pappa’s garden and even Easter picnics in the hay field are things that I was blessed with unlike many other kids in America.  Growing up down a dirt road instilled in me dedication, determination, and a passion that is part of everything I am.  I grew up knowing that to get where I am meant to be, hard work and the Lord’s guidance will be key.  I strive to serve the Lord in all my dealings and love my family to pieces.  Though they are far away, they are in my heart and prayers every day.

West of the 100th Meridian, there is not a shortage of dreams, spirit or imagination.  The vastness of the dessert, the majesty of the mountains and the beauty of the foothills provide more than enough inspiration to chase dreams.  Cowboys roam where open range and cattle lands still outweigh towns and kids run barefoot under western skies!

As I have grown older I have grown to appreciate my ranch raising more and more.  Ranch kids are just raised a little different.  I heard it said once that a ranch woman will find way and make a way, over under, around and through!  I believe this to be true in all aspects of our lives.  We find a way to use every cut of meat in the freezer, we find a way to cook a meal that our families will enjoy and we make a way for our dreams to come true.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science at Oklahoma State University.  My degree focuses on livestock merchandising.  I am immersed in classes about cattle production, cattle marketing, writing, photography and advertising and loving it.  I don’t know where the Lord will take me next, but for now I am where I am meant to be.  I hope His path leads me back down a dirt road someday but in the meantime, I will continue to tell our story.  The story of families like mine working hard day in and day out to provide a quality product.  From the cowboy to the butcher we are families just like yours and we work hard to provide you with the tastiest protein source in the meat case.  The easiest way keep a family or a cowboy happy is a great meal, it is my hope that you will use our recipes to keep your crew happy!
